Margarita Jello Shots | Sol Squeeze

Ingredients: 

  •  1 cup Sol Squeeze Mixer of your choice
  •  1 packet unflavored gelatin
  •   ½ cup tequila, blanco
  •   ¼ cup cold water
  •   Sol Squeeze margarita salt for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Soften or “bloom” the gelatin by sprinkling on top of cold water.  This will help ensure the gelatin mixes well.
  2. In a small saucepan, bring the margarita mix to a low boil and add the gelatin/water mixture and stir until the gelatin is dissolved and fully combined.  Remove from heat and add tequila and stir.
  3.  Pour into small plastic 2 oz Jello shot cups
  4. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours and garnish with margarita salt and/or gold edible glitter.  
  • Note – for fancy presentation, you can cut 5 limes in half, scoop out the pulp, then use the lime halves as your cups.  Lime wedges are porous, so you may need to trim the edges with scissors for a clean look prior to serving.  When serving, use a sharp knife and cut the lime halves into wedges.
